The Innocents is one of a set of four Limited Editions originally published in a limited edition of 975 by the Corry Mella Scott Gallery in 1995. Artist's Proofs were released at the same time. Due to unforeseen circumstances it is possible that only about 200 Limited Editions of these were signed and numbered by Jack Vettriano. It is unknown how many Artist's Proofs were made available.

The launch was called Summers Remembered and included Summertime Blues, The Innocents, A Very Dangerous Beach and Bad Boy Good Girl.
